Apollon Collagen

Apollon Nutrition is well known for their high stim all out preworkouts. They have built a world renown reputation for their PWO formulas and no holds barred approach. However, they are quickly becoming one of the best brands in terms of all around products, sparing no expense on high quality premium products. Apollon Collagen is no exception! There are 5 ingredients in this formula, all aimed with improving collagen synthesis in the body. Starting with the largest ingredient, Naticol, which provides a big dose of Type I collagen, which is the most abundant in the body in the form of muscles and tendons in the joints. Next, is a solid dose of KollaGen, another trademarked ingredient that provides Type II collagen, which again aids in joint mobility and reducing inflammation. Astrion and Dermaval are tossed in in good amounts with the aim of improving hair, skin and nail strength and then lastly, we have a healthy dose of hyaluronic acid to further boost joint mobility and protection.

So with a product like this, how can we tell if it "works"? Well there's a couple visible changes we can view. Firstly, hair growth, which I definitely noticed, due to needing a haircut a bit sooner that I normally would. Also, one of the biggest signs for me, was the rapid growth of my fingernails (thankfully I have a teenage daughter who loves to work on nails and I get a free manicure!) They seemed to be stronger and more durable as well. One of the rather interesting signs I noticed as well, was that prior to starting this product, I had a pretty nasty scrape on my knee that never seemed to patch up. After taking this product for about a week or two, I noticed it started to scab up "stronger" and seemed to heal better and quicker. This stuck out to me because my baby daughter would poke at it when we played on the floor. Most importantly, for me, was prior to using this product, I had tweaked my shoulder benching and had wrist inflammation that was killing me. After a couple weeks I noticed I recovered quicker from that shoulder injury and my wrist felt much better. I have many aches and pains in my joints from my time in the military, but I just felt better and joints felt smoother. I felt like I didnt have to take as long to warm up.

Overall, this product delivered exactly what I was looking for and needed. I was never much of a believer in collagen and just thought it was a fad aimed at insta-hoes and influencers. But after researching and knowing we lose collagen the older we get, I started to really look into it. Like I said, I've dealt with many injuries and was tired of feeling "old" and broken. This product just made me "protected" and stronger and I noticed big improvements in my shoulder mobility and strength. In my opinion, you get what you pay for and this product, with a high price tag is no exception. I don't mind paying extra for those trademarked ingredients, with studies to back up claims. Plus, this tub provides a full month's worth (30 days) of servings, whereas many companies would reduce that amount but still keep the high price tag.

One last note: I used this product a little differently. I took this product intra-workout with some carbs. This might seem a little weird, but I remember awhile ago, Tim from NBI, stated this is when he would take his collagen supplement, so I copied him. I cannot remember why he did, but I feel like its effective. This product is tasteless, does foam up a bit but isn't much of an issue, nor did it cause any stomach discomfort. Overall, this product gets the highest of recommends and I will always keep it in my monthly stack.

Recently had surgery and once I saw the label on this I knew I had to try it! It has been great throwing this in my Coffee! Apollon Nutrition did right on this! I have been taking it for two months now and I am very happy!
