NutraBio Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) is a highly absorbable form of the amino acid L-Carnitine, providing key benefits that support brain, muscle health, and may increase carnitine levels in the body which in turn increases liposis.

ALCAR is an antioxidant that helps protect neurons from the damaging effects of free radicals. In addition, it has properties similar to those of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which may help improve acetylcholine production and stimulate protein and membrane phospholipid synthesis. 

Acetyl L-Carnitine can also improve exercise performance, fat metabolism and overall endurance. It works by facilitating the transfer of long chain fatty acids into mitochondria in cells; once there, these fatty acids can be used for energy production.
